Amanda Dietrich, M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Board Member and Volunteer at Learning Empowered
Amanda Dietrich is originally from Ohio and relocated to Florida in 2015. In 2000, she graduated from the University of Toledo with a Master’s of Education in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Florida state license through the Florida Department of Health.
Over the years, Amanda has practiced in a variety of settings including the Early Steps program, public preschools and elementary schools, private practices, and skilled nursing centers. The largest areas of her career concentration have been working with the birth-through-kindergarten population and neurologically diverse clients. She finds the most fulfillment in working with children, educators, and families to facilitate language learning and enrichment within the naturalistic environment.
Two years ago, Amanda left active employment but continues to stay up to date in the field through continuing education, independent reading, and maintaining her licensures. She currently volunteers regularly with Learning Empowered in the Triangles Program and at a food bank at Woodbridge Elementary School, which receives funding through Feeding Tampa Bay.
Amanda has two grown children. Her oldest, Jude, graduated in May from the University of South Florida and now resides in Ohio, where he is pursuing his career in environmental science at the Toledo Zoo. Her youngest, Carter, will be attending the University of Central Florida starting in August. Amanda and her husband recently relocated from the Westchase area to St. Petersburg as new empty nesters and are enjoying getting to know their new community. She is excited to become an even bigger part of the Learning Empowered program by serving on the Board!
