Dr. Lisa Negrini

Executive Director

Dr. Lisa S. Negrini comes to Learning Empowered as the new Executive Director from the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg Campus where she served as the Chief Operations Officer of USFSP’s Family Study Center and the Clinical and Training Director at the Infant-Family Center. Dr. Negrini has a Doctor of Philosophy in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an emphasis in Mental Health and Developmental Disorders, a Master’s in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Dr. Negrini is also endorsed by the Florida Association of Infant Mental Health as an Infant Mental Health Mentor-Clinical (IMHM-C).

Dr. Negrini brings 30 years of experience in child and family mental health, training and professional development and non-profit leadership to new role. She is a highly qualified, innovative, established leader with extensive experience and the ability to foster organizational development and expansion. Dr. Negrini’s specialties include providing vision for growth in non-profit agencies, executive leadership, program development, implementation, and partnership building.  

Dr. Negrini has decades of experience supporting programs, advocacy, research, workforce development and new initiatives for children and families. Dr. Negrini has spent her career promoting integrated community systems of care for families that incorporate quality, trauma-informed services for families and community. She has developed key partnerships and collaborations across disciplines that effectively create and disseminate effective strategies and services to meet the needs of the children and their families in our community and across the state.

Dr. Negrini has served on multiple non-profit Boards including serving as the President, of the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health where she facilitated state efforts to address the needs for infant and early childhood supports and services, and statewide initiatives that address primary, secondary and tertiary prevention to promote healthy child development and support strong and resilient families.
