Paul Gibson, Rev.

Paul Gibson was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and raised in Miami, Florida. The son of a Lutheran pastor, Paul grew up immersed in the church but also followed a unique path that took him around the world and through several different vocations.

He studied music at Florida State University and the University of Miami. He spent twelve years performing as a professional opera singer with companies in the United States and Germany. He also spent six and a half years as an Anglican Benedictine monk, living in community and gaining a deep understanding of service and spiritual life.

He earned his Master of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 2014 and was ordained in 2015. He began serving as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church later that year.

Paul is committed to community involvement and civic engagement. He believes that people of faith should be active participants in public life and that inclusive, compassionate leadership can strengthen both congregations and communities.
